Great Summer Meat-Up

These pigs in a blanket and jalapeno popper brat boats make the perfect appetizers!




Pigs in a Blanket


Ingredients

  • One 14oz pack of johnsonville beddar cheddar sausage

  • One pack of crescent rolls 

  • Sliced cheddar cheese 

  • Jalapeño thinly sliced 


Directions

  1. Slice sausage into thirds. 

  2. Slice crescent roll pieces into halves. 

  3. Place a sliver of sliced cheddar cheese in crescent roll. Place a piece of sausage into crescent roll. 

  4. Roll up and place a sliver of jalapeño on top. 

  5. Grill on low heat until crescent rolls are cooked through. Enjoy! 




Jalapeno popper brat boats

Ingredients

  • One 19oz pack of Johnsonville original bratwurst

  • One block of cream cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 

  • Jalapeño thinly sliced

  • Bbq seasoning of choice 



Directions

  1. Slice casing of brat open. Use fingers to make a dent through the middle. This is where the cheese filling will go. Season beat with seasoning of choice. 

  2. Grill dent side down first. Grill for a few minutes until brat is seared. 

  3. Flip brat and move to low heat side. Place cream cheese down first. Then pile on cheddar cheese, followed by slices of jalapeno. 

  4. Grill for about 10 minutes or until beat is cooked thoroughly. Slice and enjoy!
