Carne Asada is one of my all time favorites. This recipe is sure to be yours too!
Carne Asada
Prep time: 10 minutes plus 3-12 hours for marinating.
Cook time: 20 minutes
Servings: 4-5
Ingredients
1.5-2 lbs of skirt steak
2 tbs olive oil
2 tbs soy sauce
Juice from 2 oranges
Juice from 3 limes
1 bundle of cilantro
2 tbs minced garlic
2 tbs kosher salt
1 tbs ground coriander
1 1/2 tbs cumin
2 tbs brown sugar
3-4 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
Directions
Combine all ingredients except for meat in a blender. Blend until smooth.
Pour liquid over meat and let marinate for atleast 3 hours and up to 12 hours.
Preheat charbroil all electric edge grill to 550 degrees F.
Grill steak for 5 minutes per side. Remove from grill and let rest for 10 minutes.
Cut steak with the grain into 3-4 inch pieces. Turn steak and slice against the grain. Serve on tortillas.
