Smothered Hamburger Steaks
Ingredients
4 lbs ground beef
5 eggs
1 cup bread crumbs
1 packet brown gravy
1 large package mushrooms, sliced
2 yellow onions, sliced
2 tbs butter
1-2 tbs of Worcestershire sauce
1 tbs minced garlic
1 tbs Cajun seasoning
1 tbs onion powder
1 tbs garlic powder
Directions
In a large bowl, combine 4 lbs of ground beef, the 5 beaten eggs, and bread crumbs. Add cajun seasoning, garlic, and onion powder. Mix with your hands, then divide into 10 patties.
Cook on griddle top on medium high heat.
While steaks are cooking, saute sliced onion and mushrooms in butter / Worcestershire sauce on the stovetop. Cook until onions are soft and translucent. Add minced garlic once onions are cooked, then cook for an additional minute. Finally add the packet of brown gravy (following directions on the package).
Serve mushroom/onion sauce over hamburgers steaks with sides of your choice. Let me know if you give it a try!
