Serve over rice, pasta, or a bed of your favorite veggies!
Garlic Chicken with a Lemon Cream Sauce
Ingredients
1.5 lbs chicken breast
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 1/2 cups heavy cream (for healthier option sub milk or almond milk)
olive oil
2 tbs butter
1 tbs minced garlic
garlic salt
pepper
1 tsp dill
juice from 1 lemon
Directions
1.Preheat skillet to medium high heat.
2. Butterfly chicken breasts and season with garlic salt and pepper.
3. Drizzle skillet with olive oil and then add chicken.
4. Cook chicken 3-4 minutes per side then remove from skillet.
5. Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic to skillet and cook for 1 minute.
6. Add chicken broth to skillet. Simmer and reduce for 3-4 minutes.
7. Add cream, lemon juice, butter, & dill. Simmer and stir until butter is melted.
8. Return chicken to skillet and simmer until thickness of sauce is desired. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with more dill.
(if using milk or almond milk you will have to add corn starch to thicken sauce).
