This is my all time favorite meal! Find the recipe below and see what I’m talking about!

Flat top chicken fried steak

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

Servings: 6

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 lbs round steak tenderized

  • 3 eggs

  • 2 cups milk

  • 2 cups flour

  • Creole seasoning

  • Canola oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat flat top to medium heat.

  2. Add eggs and milk to mixing bowl. Season liberally with creole seasoning. Stir to combine.

  3. Add flour to another mixing bowl and liberally season with more creole seasoning. Stir to combine.

  4. Transfer steaks to egg and milk mixture. Transfer steaks one at a time to flour mixture and coat in four. Transfer to cookie sheet or cutting board after they are coated in flour. Continue to coat each steak until they are all coated.

  5. Add a little butter of oil to flat top in the spot where you are going to be placing the steak. Place steak down on oil. Add more oil to the next spot followed by steak. Repeat this process until all steaks are on the flat top.

  6. Cook for about 5 minutes and flip. Before flipping add a little more oil before placing steak down if you need it. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from flat top and enjoy!
